Ep 7. My Heart Will Go On

As the charity carnival gets underway, everyone in Hope Valley is excited to gather and raise funds for such a good cause. There are plenty of activities on offer, including a shooting gallery, a cake walk, and a raffle, which makes the event a big success. However, there is one part of the carnival that is causing some tension: a dance. Elizabeth is struggling with the idea of attending the dance without Jack, but she finds solace in the company of newcomer Charles Kensington, played by Marcus Rosner. He too has a broken heart, but will they be able to connect in a meaningful way?

The episode also sees the return of Lee Coulter, played by Kavan Smith, who is recovering from injuries sustained in a horseback riding accident. He has been spending time with his wife Rosemary, played by Pascale Hutton, while he recuperates, but they are both still struggling with the fact that Lee may never be able to climb on horseback again. Rosemary comes up with a plan to help Lee cope with his new limitations, but whether he will accept the help remains to be seen.
