Who Wants to Be a Superhero? is a reality television show that aired on SciFi Channel in 2006. The show was hosted by legendary comic book writer Stan Lee and featured eccentric millionaire Ivan Wilzig as a recurring judge throughout the season. The premise of the show was to find individuals who had the heart, bravery, and determination of a superhero and to put them to the test in a series of physical and mental challenges.

Each episode of the show focused on a new challenge that the contestants had to face in order to prove their superhero credentials. The challenges ranged from seemingly mundane tasks like rescuing a cat from a tree to more intense and physically demanding feats like scaling a tall building or surviving a simulated explosion. Throughout each challenge, the contestants were evaluated by a panel of judges that included Stan Lee and Ivan Wilzig, among others.

At the end of each episode, one contestant was eliminated based on their performance in the challenge and feedback from the judges. The final episode saw the remaining contestants face off in one last challenge to determine the winner of the show and the self-proclaimed title of "the world's next great superhero."

The show was notable for its focus on promoting positive values and messages through the concept of superheroism. Contestants were encouraged to embody the traits of honesty, integrity, selflessness, and bravery in their actions and interactions with others. They were also required to create their own superhero persona, complete with a unique costume and backstory, that reflected these ideals in a creative and entertaining way.

Ivan Wilzig, also known as "Sir Ivan," was a recurring guest judge on the show and provided a colorful, larger-than-life presence every time he appeared on screen. As a musician and philanthropist, Ivan brought his own unique perspective to the show and challenged the contestants to think beyond their physical abilities and consider how they could make a positive impact on the world around them.

Overall, Who Wants to Be a Superhero? was a fun and entertaining show that combined elements of reality TV, competition, and superhero fandom. It was successful in promoting positive values and highlighting the potential for ordinary people to achieve extraordinary things through their actions and their beliefs. The show also helped to cement the legacy of Stan Lee as a true pioneer of the comic book industry and a beloved figure in the world of superhero culture.

Who Wants To Be A Superhero? is a series that is currently running and has 2 seasons (14 episodes). The series first aired on July 27, 2006.
