Max returns to Leopard's Den and receives an unexpected welcome from her daughter Olivia, who is now living there permanently. But the homecoming is bittersweet as Max finds out that her beloved dog isn't doing well, and she must face the possibility of letting him go. Meanwhile, Du Plessis goes on a camping trip with Danny and Ruby, but things take a dangerous turn when they encounter an injured man in the wilderness. With no way to call for help, the trio must use their survival skills to keep themselves and the stranger alive as they trek through the unforgiving terrain. Back at Leopard's Den, Alice and Sarah are at odds over the future of Mara, the pregnant elephant who has been causing trouble in the area. Can they come to an agreement before it's too late? And Rosie helps a giraffe who's been injured by a poacher's snare, but the animal's future is uncertain as the team awaits word from the vet.
