Season 1 Updates is the seventh episode of the first season of the documentary crime series Wrong Man. In this episode, we get updates on the cases covered throughout the season, learning about any new developments in the cases and what has happened to the people featured.

We start with the case of Calvin Buari, who we first met in episode one. Calvin was convicted of murder in 1992 and has been fighting for his innocence ever since. In this episode, we see that Calvin's conviction has been overturned and he has been freed. He is emotional and overjoyed to be reunited with his family after spending 22 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit.

Next, we catch up with Kenneth Clair, a man who has been on death row in California since 1987. He was convicted of murdering a baby, but his supporters maintain that he is innocent. In this episode, we see that Kenneth's case is still ongoing, with appeals being filed on his behalf. We hear from his family members and supporters, who remain hopeful but also frustrated that Kenneth has been on death row for so many years.

We also get an update on Ed Ates, a former actor who was convicted of murder in Texas. In episode two, we saw that Ed was fighting to get a new trial because of ineffective counsel. In this episode, we see that Ed has been granted that new trial. We hear from his lawyer and from Ed himself, who is excited at the prospect of finally being able to prove his innocence.

One of the most harrowing cases covered in the series is that of Vonda Smith, a woman who was convicted of murdering her son's girlfriend in Georgia. In this episode, we see that Vonda's case has been taken up by the Georgia Innocence Project. We hear from her lawyer and from Vonda's daughter, who is hopeful that her mother will one day be exonerated and released from prison.

We then learn about the case of Christopher Tapp, a man who was wrongly convicted of murder in Idaho. We see that Chris has been exonerated and released from prison after serving 20 years for a crime he didn't commit. We hear from Chris himself, who is still coming to terms with his newfound freedom and struggling to move on from his time in prison.

Finally, we get an update on the case of Curtis Flowers, which was the focus of episode four. Curtis was convicted of murdering four people in Mississippi, but his supporters maintain that he was wrongly convicted and that there is no evidence that he committed the crime. In this episode, we see that Curtis is still awaiting a decision from the U.S. Supreme Court, which will determine whether he will be granted a new trial or not.

Throughout the episode, we also hear from experts in the justice system, who provide context and analysis of the cases we have seen. They discuss the challenges facing those who have been wrongfully convicted and the difficulties they face when trying to prove their innocence.

Season 1 Updates is a poignant and informative episode that provides closure for the cases covered throughout the season. We see the impact that wrongful convictions have on the lives of individuals and their families, and the work being done to try and right these injustices.
