WWE Monday Night Raw - April 8, 2013, was the 1045th episode of the weekly wrestling show. It took place at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and was the final episode of Raw before WrestleMania 29, which was set for the following Sunday.

The show began with a tribute to the late Paul Bearer, who had passed away a few weeks earlier. The Undertaker made his way to the ring to pay his respects to his former manager, but was interrupted by CM Punk and Paul Heyman. Punk cut a promo about how he was going to end The Undertaker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania, which led to a brawl between the two wrestlers.

Next up was a match between Ryback and Dolph Ziggler, which ended in a no contest after Mark Henry attacked Ryback. Henry cut a promo about how he was going to win the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania and retire as champion.

Backstage, Randy Orton was interviewed about his match against Big Show at WrestleMania. Orton said that he was going to prove that he was the better man and that he deserved to be in the main event.

In the next match, Antonio Cesaro defended his United States Championship against Kofi Kingston. Cesaro was able to retain the championship after hitting Kingston with the Neutralizer.

The Miz made his way to the ring and cut a promo about how he was going to win the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania. Wade Barrett interrupted and said that he was going to defeat The Miz and retain the championship at the event.

The main event of the show saw John Cena team up with WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No (Kane and Daniel Bryan) to take on The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns). The match was hard-fought and lasted over 20 minutes, with both teams coming close to victory several times. In the end, Cena was able to hit the Attitude Adjustment on Rollins and pick up the win for his team.

Overall, WWE Monday Night Raw - April 8, 2013, was a solid buildup to WrestleMania 29, with several matches and promos setting the stage for the big event. The tribute to Paul Bearer was a touching moment, and the main event was an exciting way to end the show.
