Ep 2. Science Museum Oklahoma #2

In Xploration DIY SCI season 3 episode 2, host Steve Spangler visits the Science Museum Oklahoma to explore the science behind everyday objects and phenomena. This is the second part of this series, with the previous episode having explored the science behind electricity and magnetism.

He creates a massive bubble that envelopes multiple people, showing how bubbles can be manipulated and altered in size and shape.

Moving on, Steve takes a look at the energy behind motion and how different forces can affect the movement of an object. He tests out a series of experiments to demonstrate how friction, gravity, and air resistance can all impact the motion of different objects. He also explores the concept of potential energy and kinetic energy, and how they relate to the position and motion of an object.

Lastly, Steve meets with a group of high school students who are designing and building a robot to compete in a robotics competition. He learns about the different components of the robots, including the motor, gearbox, and programming software. The students demonstrate the robot's abilities, from moving objects to following a set of instructions.
