As Yakari and the young girl make their way back, they come across a group of foxes who are playing a game of tag. The young girl joins in the game, but Yakari realizes that it's getting late and they need to return the papoose before the mother comes back from gathering berries. Yakari and the young girl set off again, but they get lost in the forest.

As night falls, Yakari uses the stars to navigate and finds their way back to the young girl's village. The mother is overjoyed to see her papoose back, and Yakari and the young girl share a heartfelt moment of gratitude. The episode ends with Yakari and his animal friends watching the stars from a hilltop.
