Yesterday is a young wife and mother in South Africa. Her life is hard in many ways but still good. Then she becomes sick, and after spending some time in the hospital, she receives the devastating news that she is HIV positive. She knows that this disease is likely to end her life decades before her time, and she is devastated, but she also is determined. While her husband tries to ignore reality and pretend that she is not sick at all, Yesterday puts all of her focus into her young daughter and the goal of seeing her start school.
