Ep 11. Sisters of Mercy

The episode "Sisters of Mercy" is the eleventh installment of the first season of the post-apocalyptic horror-comedy series Z Nation. The episode revolves around the group's encounter with a group of nuns who have turned their convent into a safe haven for survivors of the zombie virus outbreak.

As the team travels towards the supposed safe zone in California, they stumble upon the Sisters of Mercy convent. Throughout the episode, each individual from the group has their own personal interactions with the nuns, for better or for worse. Warren and Garnett work with the head nun, Mother Josephine (played by Linda Porter), to fortify the walls of the convent so that the zombies cannot penetrate. 10K befriends a young girl, who is under the care of the nuns, who teaches him about faith and love. Doc, on the other hand, finds himself in the middle of a "miracle" that the nuns believe confirms their faith.

The action-packed episode sees the group killing a massive amount of zombies, but it's not just the infected that's the problem-- the nuns are harboring a dark secret, which the group quickly uncovers. The convent's pharmacy provides drugs that can end the suffering of dying "zombies" -- a mercy that divides the group on whether it should be used or not.

As the day turns into night, an even worse problem arises when zombies manage to breach the convent's walls. In a desperate attempt to save themselves, the group realizes that the only way to escape is to go through the convent's underground tunnels to reach the lake at the other end.

As the group reaches the end of the tunnel, Doc discovers yet another shocking secret of the sisters of Mercy convent -- one that the group, especially Warren, will never forget.

Overall, "Sisters of Mercy" stands out as one of the highlight episodes of Z Nation's first season, providing humorous moments intertwined with emotional ones and leaving viewers on the edge of their seats throughout the episode.
