"Dirty Deeds" is a crime comedy film that premiered in 2002, directed by David Caesar. The movie is set in Sydney, Australia, during the 1960s, and revolves around a day in the life of a young man, Barry Ryan (played by Bryan Brown), who works for a local crime boss named Darcy (played by John Goodman). The movie begins with Darcy placing an unusual request upon Barry; he wants him to complete ten "dirty deeds" in a single day. Each task that Barry is assigned is more absurd and dangerous than the last, but he takes them all in stride as he tries to complete them to the best of his abilities.

The first task is to pick up a bag containing money for a corrupt police officer named Ray (played by Sam Neill). Next, Barry is required to collect a debt from a family who owns a grocery store. The family, Bernie (played by Felix Williamson), Wendy (played by Kestie Morassi), and their son Danny (played by Sam Worthington) are having a dispute. The assignment is a means to settle the matter once and for all.

Barry then proceeds to the next task, which is to deliver a set of spiked golf shoes to a rival gangster's head. This task goes awry when Barry accidentally delivers the shoes to the wrong person. He must then try to right his wrong and complete the task as needed.

Meanwhile, Darcy has some issues of his own to handle, as he must deal with a corrupt union boss who goes by the nickname of "Mr. Cummings." Cummings is played by the talented actor Bryan Brown, who is actually the real-life father of Barry Ryan (Bryan Brown's character).

Throughout the day, Barry is also constantly harassed by the police, Edna (Florence Stanley) playing a police officer, in particular, who is trying to catch him and bring him to justice. However, she is thwarted at every turn.

The final tasks that Barry must complete are the most dangerous of them all. Things quickly spiral out of control, and it looks like Barry's luck may have finally run out. But, in typical heroic fashion, he manages to overcome all obstacles through quick thinking, bravery, and a little bit of luck.

Overall, "Dirty Deeds" is a fun, fast-paced movie with some great performances from its talented cast, including the always dependable John Goodman, who delivers a convincing portrayal of the ruthless crime lord Darcy. Toni Collette also puts in a notable performance as Barry's girlfriend, Margaret. At the same time, Bryan Brown is excellent in the leading role, giving his character a relaxed and confident charm that keeps the audience engaged throughout.

Writer/director David Caesar does an excellent job of balancing the action and comedy elements in the movie, making the most out of each punchline and making sure that the audience never gets bored. The film's visual style, with its retro-60s look, also serves as a fun and nostalgic reminder of the era in which it is set.

In conclusion, "Dirty Deeds" is an action-packed and hilarious movie that manages to deliver a satisfying and enjoyable viewing experience. It's a must-see for fans of crime comedies that provide plenty of laughs and thrills in equal measure.
