Tyler Perry presents another box office hit with I Can Do Bad All By Myself starring Taraji P. Henson as April an alcoholic singer performing in a nightclub in which she works. Madea meets Jennifer, Manny, and Bryan as they are trying to get into her home. The children are going through a lot with their family being their grandmother and aunt April. Madea feels sorry for the children and offer to seek help for them.
The children aunt April is living with a married man named Randy who does not have any good intentions. Pastor Brian sends an immigrant to April's house for work and a place to stay. April agrees to let Sandino stay in the basement because she does not know him that well. Sandino becomes a handsome man and accepts April and the children. April life gets turn upside down when Pastor Brian and Wilma tells her her mother has passed. April is devastated.
April goes to Randy for comfort but he turns his back on her. Sandino comforts April and tells her about the death of his mother. Randy becomes in rage in jealous and warns Sandino not to have any more dealings with April. Randy then attempts to rape Jennifer but Sandino is there to fight Randy off. April walks in on the fight, and Randy attempts to be dishonest and says Jennifer offered him sex for money.
It looks like April believes him and tells Randy to go and take a bath and he does. April walks in holding a radio threatening to throw it in the bath tub and electrocute him. The radio drops into the tub as Randy jumps out leaving the apartment. April goes to the bar for a drink blaming herself for the incident with Randy and Jennifer. Sandino tries to comfort April and she becomes defensive stating if he is a child molester. Sandino states he loves children and he is not.
April and Sandino are married and April discovers that trust and loving oneself is the key to forgiving and letting go.
