Ep 20. Is That You?

Finn and Jake are back for another wacky adventure in episode 20 of season 7, titled "Is That You?" The episode kicks off with Finn finding a strange version of his beloved grass sword, but this one has a grotesque face at the end. Meanwhile, Jake is hanging out with his alien pal Jermaine, who is feeling homesick for his home planet. Jake suggests they build a spaceship to take Jermaine home, but the project proves more challenging than expected.

As Finn continues to investigate the strange sword, he slowly begins to realize that it's somehow alive. After a few false starts, Finn finally manages to communicate with the sword, but he quickly regrets it when it turns out to be an incredibly annoying, needy, and clingy creature. The sword, which calls itself Root Sword, demands constant attention and affection from Finn, and begins to drive him crazy. Eventually, Finn decides he needs to get rid of the sword, but he's hesitant to do so because he's afraid of hurting its feelings.

Meanwhile, Jake and Jermaine are struggling to make progress on the spaceship. Jermaine grows increasingly impatient and stressed, worrying that he'll never be able to go home. Jake tries to comfort him and reassure him that they'll figure it out, but he's also secretly unsure if they'll be able to pull it off. Jake's anxiety about the situation causes him to begin hallucinating, leading to some truly bizarre and hilarious moments.

Back with Finn and the sword, things are going from bad to worse. Root Sword has become increasingly possessive of Finn, and its obsessive behavior is becoming more and more concerning. Finn turns to Princess Bubblegum for help, but she's unable to solve the problem. Eventually, Finn decides he needs to confront Root Sword head-on and tell it that their relationship is over. But just as he's about to do so, Root Sword reveals that it's actually Finn's old friend turned villain, the Grass Demon, in disguise. The Grass Demon explains that it was trying to steal Finn's identity and take over his life, but that its plan has failed. Finn is understandably upset, but instead of getting angry, he decides to help the Grass Demon change its ways and become a better person.

Meanwhile, Jake and Jermaine have managed to finish the spaceship, but it's not exactly spaceworthy. Nevertheless, Jermaine is so excited to go home that he's willing to risk it all and take off anyway. Jake tries to stop him, but it's too late - the spaceship crashes and they're both stranded. But in the end, they come to realize that they don't need a spaceship to feel at home, as long as they have each other.

"Is That You?" is another fantastic episode of Adventure Time with Finn and Jake, filled with humor, heart, and all the weirdness we've come to expect from the show. It's a great example of the series' mix of light-hearted fun and genuine emotional depth. Fans of the show won't want to miss this one!
