Ep 13. Surprise (1)

In "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" season 2 episode 13, titled "Surprise (1)," Buffy is thrown a surprise 17th birthday party by her friends, but her celebration is interrupted by a vision of a deadly danger looming in the future.

As Buffy sets off on her treasure hunt, Angel follows her, struggling with his feelings of love for her and the curse that hangs over him. As they search for clues, their attraction to each other grows, and they end up kissing passionately. The kiss triggers Angel's curse, and he realizes that he has lost his soul and is now Angelus.

Spike and his gang attack Buffy's party, and chaos ensues. Buffy fights bravely, but she is caught off guard by the surprise attack. Her friends try to help her, but they are easily overpowered by the vampires.

The episode ends with Buffy running for her life, pursued by Angelus, who now wants to kill her. Buffy is devastated by Angel's transformation and must fight for her life while trying to come to terms with the fact that the person she loves is now her enemy.

"Surprise (1)" is an intense and emotional episode that explores the complicated relationships between Buffy, Angel, and their respective allies. It sets up the second half of the season, which is filled with adventure, suspense, and heartbreak.
