In the second part of the "Time Stands Still" storyline, tension continues to build as the students of Degrassi deal with the aftermath of a school shooting. The episode opens with a powerful montage of the students organizing a memorial for the victims, including Emma writing a moving speech and Paige and Marco decorating the school with ribbons. Meanwhile, Alex and Jay are still grappling with their guilt over their involvement in the shooting, and Spinner struggles with fears he may have caused the tragedy by bullying the shooter.

Tension is high as the students return to school, many of them nervous about what the future holds. Paige and Hazel are targeted by a group of boys who make lewd comments about them, prompting Paige to confront them. It's a tense scene, but ultimately she is able to stand up for herself and demand respect. Elsewhere, Emma and Manny find themselves at odds when Emma speaks out against a gun registry, arguing that the issue is mental health rather than gun control. Manny, who lost her boyfriend in the shooting, feels passionately that guns should be banned altogether.

As the day goes on, Spinner's guilt begins to consume him. He tries to confide in Jimmy, who is still recovering in the hospital, but Jimmy is unable to speak due to his injuries. Spinner eventually turns to the school counselor, who gives him the advice he needs to begin moving forward. Meanwhile, Alex struggles to come to terms with her own guilt, particularly when she learns that the shooter's younger sister is being bullied at school. In an emotional scene, Alex approaches the girl and shares her own story of regret and redemption, offering her a path forward.

As the episode comes to a close, tensions between Emma and Manny reach a boiling point. The two girls meet in the library, where they finally have a heart-to-heart about their differing views on gun control. Ultimately, they are able to find common ground and reaffirm their friendship. Meanwhile, Spinner takes a major step forward when he publicly apologizes for his role in the bullying that led up to the shooting.

"Time Stands Still Pt. 2" is a gripping follow-up to the previous episode, with powerful performances from the entire cast. The episode does an excellent job of exploring the complex emotions and reactions that can follow a tragedy, while also highlighting the importance of empathy and understanding in the healing process.
