Ep 12. Issie/Icelandic Elves

In season 2 episode 12 of Destination Truth, the team packs their bags and heads to the rugged landscape of Iceland to investigate two separate legends: the Issie, a creature said to live in the waters of the lake Lagarfljót, and the Icelandic Elves, a mischievous and sometimes malevolent race of supernatural beings that are firmly entrenched in the country's folklore.

The team begins their investigation by interviewing locals who claim to have seen the Issie. They meet with one man who describes seeing a creature with a long neck and multiple humps swimming in the lake. Others claim to have seen strange disturbances in the water, leading them to believe that something large and unknown is swimming beneath the surface.

Undeterred by the lack of concrete evidence, Josh and the team set out on the lake in a small boat, armed with underwater cameras and sonar equipment. They also bring along a traditional Icelandic lure, which is said to be irresistible to the Issie.

As they search the murky depths, the team begins to experience technical difficulties with their equipment. Cameras malfunction and sonar readings go haywire, leaving the team scrambling to figure out what's causing the interference.

Meanwhile, the team also sets out to investigate the Icelandic Elves. They speak with locals who recount stories of encounters with the supernatural beings, including sightings of fleeting figures at night and bizarre occurrences in their homes.

To get to the bottom of the mystery, the team consults with a local elf expert who explains the various types of elves and their characteristics. They also visit a location where someone claims to have had a particularly harrowing encounter with the creatures.

Throughout their investigation, the team experiences eerie occurrences that they can't explain, leading them to speculate that the Icelandic Elves may be playing tricks on them.

As the episode draws to a close, the team remains split on whether they believe in the existence of the Issie and the Icelandic Elves. While they don't capture any definitive evidence, they leave Iceland with a new appreciation for the country's rich folklore and a greater sense of curiosity about the unknown.
