Ep 12. Mr. Selfridge Season 2, Episode 1

In season 2 of Mr. Selfridge, Episode 1 titled "A Passionate Man," we see Harry Selfridge return to London after a jaunt to the United States to escape his troubles. He is greeted by his loyal staff, including Miss Mardle and Mr. Grove, who have been holding down the fort in his absence.

However, Harry quickly realizes that his department store is not doing as well as he had hoped. His reckless spending and lack of attention to detail have taken a toll on the business. He must now come up with a way to revive the store and restore its former glory.

Meanwhile, Harry's personal life is just as tumultuous. His wife Rose is still struggling with the loss of their child and has taken up with a spiritualist, making Harry very uncomfortable. Rose's brother, Gordon, is also causing trouble for Harry, as he is in debt and hoping to gain access to the Selfridge fortune.

As Harry tries to navigate both his personal and professional life, he must also contend with a new rival in the world of high-end retail. Lord Loxley is a wealthy and powerful man who is determined to bring Selfridge's down and claim the title of the best department store in London for himself.

In this first episode of the season, we see Harry face many challenges and obstacles. Will he be able to overcome them and save his store? Or will his personal demons and his rivals get the best of him? Tune in to find out.
