In season 7 episode 4 of Mythbusters, the team sets out to test various YouTube myths and viral videos. From exploding soda bottles to lifting a car with nothing but duct tape, this episode has something for everyone.

One of the first myths tested is the famous Mentos and Diet Coke trick. The team sets up a variety of tests, including dropping Mentos into a 2-liter bottle of Diet Coke and dropping them into a container of liquid nitrogen and then putting them into the soda. The results are explosive, to say the least. The team also takes on the myth that adding salt to Coke will make it explode, with similarly explosive results.

Another myth tested in this episode is the idea that a person can lift a car using nothing but duct tape. The team ropes in a group of strongmen and attempts to lift a car with layers upon layers of duct tape. The results are surprising, to say the least.

Fans of the viral video genre will enjoy the testing of the "exploding whale" myth, which originated from a news report in which a dead whale was blown up with dynamite. The team recreates the experiment using a fake whale and various explosives to determine whether the video was real or fake.

Other myths tackled in this episode include the idea that a rocket propelled by baking soda and vinegar can really take off, and the notion that a person can really believe they are walking on the moon when they are in a sensory deprivation tank.
