A Little Romance is an American romantic comedy released in 1979. This movie was based on a novel written by Patrick Cauvin. This movie is Diane Lane's first debut. The plot of the movie and story involves a young American girl and a young French boy attending school in Paris, France. They meet at a museum and soon fall in love. The American girls mother forbid their relationship because the boy doesn't come from money.

During their forbidden romance the young couple becomes friends with an elderly gentleman, who tell them a about a tradition of kissing under the bridge of Sighs in Venice, Italy at sunset. If they follow this tradition their romance will last forever. Eventually their romance leads them to Venice, Italy and they, too, seal the deal with a kiss under the bridge of Sighs.
