Black and White is a 1999 film about New York's hip-hop music scene and how white people seem to be fascinated with it. Rich Bower is a man to know within the circles of rap music and his apartment is a watering hole for any and all related individuals to visit, artists, fans, groupies, etc. Filmmaker Sam is working on a documentary about Rich and his friends, with assistance from her husband, Terry. Dean has been Rich's friend since they were kids and is also a skilled collegiate basketballer. He makes a deal with a bookie to throw some games. However, it turns out that the bookie is actually a cop looking to investigate Rich's past. When Rich learns about Dean's situation, he asks one of his white fans to perform the assassination. Black and White is 98 minutes in length and is both written and directed by an American, James Lee Toback. It features an ensemble cast that includes Robert Downey Jr, Elijah Wood, Ben Stiller, supermodel Claudia Schiffer, Raekwon of the Wu Tang Clan, and professional boxer Mike Tyson.
