Fallen Angel is a British television drama series that originally aired on ITV in 2007. The show is a suspenseful thriller series that revolves around the life of David Shepherd, an advertising executive, and his family. It stars Charles Dance as David Shepherd, Clare Holman as Fay Morrison, and Barbara Wilshere as Jessica Shepherd.

David Shepherd is a successful but troubled advertising executive, living with his family in a beautiful house in Suffolk. However, his seemingly perfect life is shaken when a beautiful and enigmatic stranger, Fay Morrison, arrives in his life claiming to be the daughter he never knew he had. The sudden reappearance of Fay dredges up old secrets and threatens to disrupt the fragile balance of David's personal and professional life.

As the series progresses, it becomes clear that nothing is as it seems, and David's life is slowly unraveling. He is constantly haunted by the demons of his past and struggles to balance his responsibilities as a father and husband with his growing obsession with Fay. Meanwhile, his wife Jessica is suspicious of Fay's true motives, and tensions begin to mount as David's relationships with both women become increasingly complicated.

The show's plot is full of twists and turns, and viewers are kept on the edge of their seats as the mystery surrounding Fay deepens. Throughout the series, there are numerous subplots that further develop the characters and add another layer of intrigue to the story. For example, we see David struggle to maintain his sanity as his past comes back to haunt him, and we watch as Jessica wrestles with her own feelings of betrayal and abandonment.

One of the most striking aspects of the show is its use of beautiful and atmospheric cinematography. The Suffolk countryside is portrayed in all its breathtaking glory, creating a sense of otherworldliness that adds to the show's air of mystery and intrigue. The show's score is equally effective, using haunting melodies and eerie soundscapes to evoke a sense of unease and tension.

Charles Dance gives an excellent performance as David, perfectly capturing the character's complex and troubled nature. He manages to balance David's charm and charisma with his darker, more dangerous side, making him a compelling and intriguing protagonist. Clare Holman is equally impressive as Fay, bringing a mix of vulnerability and inscrutability to the character that makes her a perfect foil for David.

Overall, Fallen Angel is a gripping and atmospheric thriller filled with twists, turns, and unexpected revelations. The show's strong performances, mesmerizing cinematography, and haunting score create an immersive and engaging viewing experience that will leave viewers on the edge of their seats from start to finish.
