Watch Fever Pitch

Fever Pitch is a 2005 movie about an obsessed Boston Red Sox named Ben and his romance with an executive named Lindsay, who is portrayed by actress Drew Barrymore. The two meet in the off season when Ben takes some students from his math class to Lindsay's office to meet her and get to know how math is useful at her job. The two decide to go out on a date, in which Lindsay has a stomach virus and Ben ends up caring for her. However, things begin to go downhill when baseball season starts and his love for the Boston Red Sox conflicts with Lindsay's hectic work schedule. Lindsay often feels as though her life plans will always take a back seat to the season tickets that Ben has to every game. The two try having Lindsay come with him to the games but she gets hit in the head with a foul ball. A fight occurs after Ben misses a game which he never does and instead goes with Lindsay to her friend's birthday party. The two break up after he gets upset because his team rebounded from a horrible deficit and he did not get to see the game.
