Jewel Robbery is a romantic comedy featuring an art thief named The Robber (William Powell) and a wealthy baroness named Teri Von Horhenfels (Kay Francis). The film is based on the play by Ladislaus Fodor and directed by William Dieterle. The plot starts with The Robber breaking into a luxurious jewelry store in Vienna. As he starts to steal a precious diamond necklace, he meets the elegant Teri, who has come to purchase jewels for her upcoming party. The two strike up a flirtatious conversation, and The Robber becomes infatuated with Teri.

As the robbery is discovered, The Robber manages to escape with the necklace and an unconscious Teri in tow. He takes her to his secret hideout, a luxurious and modern apartment where he reveals his identity as an artist and gentleman burglar. Despite her fears, Teri is enchanted by The Robber's charm and wit, and soon finds herself falling for him.

Things get complicated when Teri's husband, the wealthy and pompous Baron Franz (Henry Kolker), arrives in town, bringing with him his mistress (Helen Vinson). As he vies for Teri's attention and attempts to track down the stolen necklace, The Robber must work to keep his identity hidden and protect both Teri and himself from danger.

Throughout the movie, the chemistry between Powell and Francis is electric, and their witty banter sets the pace for the romantic moments that follow. There are several standout scenes, including one in which The Robber disguises himself as a waiter and serves snails to Teri and her friends at a restaurant, and another in which he takes her for a ride in his convertible through the scenic countryside.

The film also boasts some impressive set design and cinematography, particularly in the scenes that take place inside the jewelry store and The Robber's elegant hideaway. The costumes are also worth mentioning, with Teri sporting glamorous and fashionable dresses throughout the movie.

Overall, Jewel Robbery is a delightful and entertaining romantic comedy with plenty of charm and wit. Powell and Francis are delightful in their roles, and the supporting cast adds plenty of humor and drama to the mix. The movie is a must-see for fans of classic Hollywood romantic comedies.
