Teesri Aankh is a 2006 Bollywood film that revolves around the story of an honest and brave cop, Police Inspector Shakti Arora (Sunny Deol), who has a reputation for taking down some of the most notorious criminals in the city. However, his life takes a drastic turn when a life-changing incident leaves him blind. Despite the tragedy, Shakti continues his crusade against the criminal underworld and their nefarious activities. His determination to uphold the law and serve justice leads him to develop an extraordinary skill - that of hearing and sensing even the slightest of sounds and movements around him, forming a "third eye" that guides him on his missions. Ameesha Patel plays the role of Ammu, a journalist who is always on the lookout for the next big story. Her persistent nature leads her to follow Shakti, and in doing so, she discovers his unique ability. Impressed, she decides to write a feature story on him, thus exposing his secret ability to the world. However, things take a turn for the worse when a notorious gang who had previously been on the receiving end of Shakti's justice seeks revenge by kidnapping his wife (Neha Dhupia). The gang makes it clear that they will only release Shakti's wife if he hands himself over to them. Shakti, with the help of Ammu, sets out to rescue his wife from the clutches of the gang. The film has moments of action, thrill and romance, portraying the various facets of human emotions. The storyline provides an interesting perspective on the abilities of a person who has suffered a great loss but has not given up in his fight against crime. The music of the film, composed by Sukhwinder Singh and Nitz 'N' Sony, features songs that perfectly complement the mood of the film. The tracks "Tezaab" and "Oh Sajna" stand out for their melodious tunes and catchy lyrics. Sunny Deol delivers an outstanding performance as Police Inspector Shakti Arora. His portrayal of a blind cop with a heightened sense of hearing is commendable. He truly embodies the character, drawing emotions from the viewer as he struggles with his disability while still managing to fight crime. Ameesha Patel and Neha Dhupia also deliver solid performances. Overall, Teesri Aankh is a well-made film that has action, thrill and romance in equal measures. It is a must-watch for fans of Sunny Deol and the Hindi film industry. Its unique storyline, coupled with powerful performances and great music, ensures that the audience stays hooked till the very end.
