Border patrol agent Smith finds his wife wants to live a more luxurious life. To appease her, he becomes involved with a immigrant smuggling operation on the Texas border. In time, Smith realizes that his partners are also involved in drug smuggling, kidnapping, and murder. Smith wants out and he also wants to return a baby kidnapped for an illegal adoption back to the young one's mother.
