Ep 2. Guardians

In the second episode of season three of 12 Monkeys, entitled Guardians, Cole and Jennifer are sent to 1922 to save the life of a key target in the war against the Army of the 12 Monkeys. Meanwhile, Hannah tries to find a way to jump into the alternate reality where her mother is still alive.

The episode begins with a flashback to 1922, where we see a young girl standing on a rooftop, about to jump off. We then cut to the present day, where Cole and Jennifer are discussing the mission they have been given. They must go back to 1922 and stop a woman named Agnes from being killed, as she is a key target in the war against the 12 Monkeys.

Upon arrival in 1922, Cole and Jennifer quickly realize that they are not alone. They are being followed by a group of guardians, who are there to protect Agnes at all costs. The guardians are led by a man named John, who is suspicious of Cole and Jennifer from the start.

As Cole and Jennifer begin their mission, they quickly realize that they have a problem. Agnes is not an easy person to protect, as she is suffering from a mental illness that makes her believe that everyone around her is trying to kill her. This makes it difficult for Cole and Jennifer to get close to her without alarming her. But they persist, determined to find a way to save her life.

Meanwhile, back in the present day, Hannah is still struggling with the loss of her mother. She is desperate to find a way to jump into the alternate reality where her mother is still alive, but she is being held back by her fear of the unknown.

As the episode progresses, we see Cole and Jennifer face numerous challenges in their attempts to keep Agnes alive. They are constantly on the run from the guardians, who seem to be one step ahead of them at all times. But just when it seems like all hope is lost, Cole and Jennifer have a breakthrough. They learn that the only way to save Agnes is to confront her greatest fear head-on.

Back in the present day, Hannah finally musters up the courage to take the jump into the alternate reality. As she does so, we are left wondering what it is that she will find on the other side.

Overall, Guardians is a thrilling episode that packs in plenty of action and suspense. It keeps the viewer on the edge of their seat as Cole and Jennifer try to save Agnes, while also keeping us guessing as to what will happen with Hannah. The episode is a great continuation of the series, setting the stage for what promises to be an action-packed season.
