It was a case that stunned the nation more than three decades ago and continues to make headlines today. In December 1991, four teenage girls were found murdered inside an Austin, Texas, yogurt shop, and the store had been set ablaze, resulting in the loss of critical crime scene evidence. Leaving law enforcement with few leads, four teenage boys were identified as suspects. Two gave false confessions and were subsequently convicted of the murders. One was sentenced to death row, and the other was sentenced to life in prison. Ultimately, their convictions were overturned, and the case went cold, leaving the victims' families fighting for answers. Decades later, a new cold case detective cracked the case wide open, leading authorities to a serial killer.
