Jack Griffin is a disgraced Harvard philosophy scholar who lands a job teaching in a high school in Toledo, Ohio. After being kicked out of tenure track and losing his dream job, Jack returns to his hometown in Toledo to live with his dead mother's house, where he lives with his hero and literary idol, his late mother, while he plans his next move. In the A.P. Bio season 3 episode 6, titled "That That That", tensions continue to rise in Whitlock High School as Principal Ralph Durbin (Patton Oswalt) enlists the help of Jack Griffin (Glenn Howerton) to infiltrate and investigate the PTA and their fundraising efforts.
Desperate for money to fund the school's musical, Principal Durbin convinces Jack to go undercover as a PTA member to find out where their funds are going. But things quickly go awry when Jack gets too involved in the PTA's inner workings - and their gossip. As Jack navigates the complex relationships and power struggles within the PTA, he must also juggle his own personal drama, including his budding romance with biology teacher, Mary Wagner (Mary Sohn), and his ever-evolving plans for revenge against Harvard.
Meanwhile, the rest of the Whitlock High School faculty are dealing with their own issues. Biology teacher, Stef Duncan (Lyric Lewis), tries to prove to everyone that she's not too nice by assigning the toughest project yet, while Jack's former boss and rival, Dr. Paula Pell (Paula Pell), returns to Whitlock to wreak havoc on his plans and relationships. With tensions high and loyalties constantly shifting, no one is safe from the drama in "That That That".
As always, A.P. Bio season 3 episode 6 delivers nonstop laughs and sharp commentary on the American education system. The episode's standout moments include Jack's hilariously awkward attempts to fit in with the PTA moms, Stef's struggle to maintain her tough exterior, and Dr. Paula Pell's delightfully wicked schemes. With each new episode, A.P. Bio proves why it's one of the funniest and most underrated comedies on television.
