Ep 1. Comeback

After FBI agent Emily Byrne goes missing while working on a high-profile case, she is assumed dead and her husband Nick Durand and son Flynn are left to pick up the pieces of their shattered lives. However, six years later Emily is found in a cabin in the woods and she has no memory of what happened to her during her time away. As Emily tries to reconnect with her family, she also struggles to come to terms with her past and the mysterious circumstances that led to her disappearance.

In the first episode of Absentia, titled "Comeback," viewers are introduced to Emily and her colleagues at the FBI as they work to track down a dangerous serial killer. Despite warnings from her boss and close friend, Special Agent Cal Isaac, Emily is convinced that she can take down the killer and solve the case. However, her determination leads to her being kidnapped by the killer and held captive for an unknown period of time.
