In Airwolf season 3 episode 11, titled "Where Have All the Children Gone?," the legendary high-tech helicopter is tasked with a rescue mission to retrieve a group of abducted children.

The episode opens with a group of children playing in a suburban neighborhood when a van pulls up and kidnaps them. The local authorities are quick to respond, but they are unable to find any leads on the culprits or the whereabouts of the children. That's when Airwolf and its crew come in.

Stringfellow Hawke (Jan-Michael Vincent) and Dominic Santini (Ernest Borgnine) receive a distress call from a wealthy businessman named Robert Hollis (John Calvin) who has information on the kidnappers. Hollis is the CEO of a successful tech company and has developed a software that can decode any security system in the world. He reveals that the kidnappers contacted him and demanded a ransom of $50 million, but he has no intention of paying them. Instead, he wants Airwolf to locate and rescue the children.

Hawke and Santini agree to take the mission and are joined by a child psychologist named Dr. Kendall Parish (Dana Elcar), who offers her expertise in handling traumatized children. The team flies Airwolf to the location where Hollis traced the kidnappers' signal to and begins their search. They quickly discover that the kidnappers are a group of ex-military operatives who are using an abandoned military base as their hideout.

As they infiltrate the base, Hawke and Santini face various obstacles including booby traps and armed guards. They eventually stumble upon a room where the children are being held captive and devise a plan to get them out safely. Dr. Parish uses her skills to calm the frightened children and convince them to follow her lead. With Airwolf's assistance, Hawke and Santini lead the children to safety, but they are not out of danger yet.

As they make their way back to Airwolf, the group is ambushed by the kidnappers who are determined to recapture them. A tense gunfight ensues, but Hawke and Santini manage to fend off the attackers with Airwolf's firepower. They return the children to their grateful parents and hand over the kidnappers to the authorities.

Throughout the episode, the theme of child abduction is explored in depth. Dr. Parish provides insight into the psychological effects such a traumatic experience can have on children, and the lengths parents and law enforcement will go to rescue them. The action-packed rescue mission is a testament to the power of teamwork and technology, showcasing Airwolf's capabilities as a formidable weapon in the fight against crime.
