In American Diner Revival season 1 episode 6, titled Fraternity Fix-Up, the hosts of the show, Amanda Freitag and Ty Pennington, travel to Clemson, South Carolina to help renovate an old diner that has fallen into disrepair. The diner, called the Esso Club, is a local landmark that has been around for over 70 years. It was originally a gas station that sold Esso fuel, but it was converted into a diner in the 1950s.

The Esso Club has a special place in the hearts of the people of Clemson, especially the students of Clemson University. The diner is located just a few blocks away from the university and has become a popular hangout spot for students. However, over the years, the Esso Club has seen better days. The building is in desperate need of repairs, the decor is outdated, and the kitchen equipment is old and dysfunctional.

A group of students from Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity have taken it upon themselves to try and save the Esso Club. They have formed a committee called the Esso Preservation Society and have been trying to raise funds to renovate the diner. The fraternity brothers have a personal connection to the Esso Club as many of them have spent countless hours hanging out at the diner.

Amanda and Ty arrive in Clemson and meet with the fraternity brothers. They are given a tour of the diner and immediately see the potential it has. However, they also see the amount of work that needs to be done. The kitchen is cramped and dirty, the booths are torn and worn out, and the decor is outdated.

Amanda and Ty get to work and start by clearing out the clutter in the diner. They enlist the help of the fraternity brothers and a group of local volunteers to clean and paint the interior of the diner. Once the cleaning is done, they start working on the kitchen. They replace the old equipment with new, state-of-the-art appliances and reorganize the space to make it more efficient.

Next, Amanda and Ty tackle the decor. They want to give the Esso Club a fresh, modern look while still retaining its classic charm. They remove the old, torn booths and replace them with new ones. They also add new lighting fixtures and paint the walls in bright, cheerful colors.

Throughout the renovation, the fraternity brothers and the Esso Preservation Society are on hand to help in any way they can. They assist with the painting, cleaning, and even help with the construction of a new sign for the diner.

In the end, the transformation is remarkable. The Esso Club is now a bright, welcoming space that is sure to attract even more students and locals than before. The kitchen is now fully-functioning, and the menu has been updated to include some modern twists on classic diner fare.

Overall, American Diner Revival season 1 episode 6, Fraternity Fix-Up, showcases the power of community and how a group of people can come together to save a local landmark. Amanda Freitag and Ty Pennington do an excellent job in transforming the Esso Club into a vibrant and modern space while still retaining its classic charm.
