Ep 7. Power Couple

Katie is feeling the pressure to compete with the power couple in their wealthy town, the Ridgewood Moms. Not wanting to be left out of the social loop, she tries to convince Greg to attend the annual gala thrown by the Ridgewood Moms. But when their attempt to crash the party fails, Katie decides to take matters into her own hands. She convinces the "weird homeschoolers" in town, Anna-Kat's classmates Oliver and Taylor, to help her throw a party on the same night as the gala.

Meanwhile, Greg is dealing with his own struggles at work. He's been passed over for a promotion by his coworker and rival, Dan. After confiding in Katie, she suggests that he "play the game" and become a power couple with her.

As Katie begins to plan the party, she becomes increasingly stressed and fixated on making sure everything is perfect. She even goes as far as to hire a fancy party planner, but soon realizes that she's spent all their money on the party and they can't afford it. Greg comes up with a plan to save the day by transforming their backyard into a beach party and using their leftover Halloween decorations.

The night of the party, things begin to spiral out of control. The Ridgewood Moms crash the party and Katie's plans fall apart. Taylor and Oliver's drunk mother shows up and creates a scene, and Anna-Kat gets lost in the chaos. Greg saves the day by finding Anna-Kat and bringing her back to safety.

In the end, Katie realizes that trying to be a power couple and impress the Ridgewood Moms isn't worth it. She's happy being herself and embracing her "odd" family. As for Greg, he decides to confront Dan and stands up for himself at work.

The episode ends with the whole family enjoying their beach party under the stars, content and happy with who they are.
