Ep 17. All Coupled Up

Katie (played by Katy Mixon) and Greg (played by Diedrich Bader) embark on a mission to become better friends with a couple from their gym after realizing they only have "couple friends" and no real individual friends. They plan a double date and invite the couple over for dinner. The couple, played by guest stars Matt Shively and Sydney Park, seems perfect at first, but quickly reveals themselves to be very competitive and constantly trying to one-up Katie and Greg.

Meanwhile, Anna-Kat (played by Julia Butters) is excited to have a new friend, but becomes jealous when the girl becomes close with Oliver (played by Daniel DiMaggio) instead of her. Anna-Kat tries to win her back with bribery but ultimately learns the value of true friendship in a heartwarming moment.

Additionally, Taylor (played by Meg Donnelly), the oldest Otto child, is struggling with her decision to attend college in New York City, feeling homesick before even leaving. She confides in her mom who helps her realize that going to college and being away from home is a normal part of growing up and that she can always come back home if she needs to.

Throughout the episode, the theme of friendship is explored in various different forms and ultimately provides a heartwarming message about the importance of genuine connections in our lives.
