Ep 1. Graduation

Katie Otto, the titular American Housewife, is back for the start of season 5, and she's ready to take on anything that comes her way - including her daughter's high school graduation. As the Otto family gets ready to celebrate Anna-Kat's big day, Katie is feeling a mix of emotions. While she's happy for her daughter and proud of all the hard work she's put in to get to this point, she's also struggling with the idea of letting go.

As Katie tries to keep it together, her husband Greg is dealing with his own situation. After being passed over for a promotion at work, he's feeling down and questioning his own worth. As he prepares to leave for college in New York, he's dealing with relationship troubles and trying to figure out how to balance his dreams with his heart.

With all of this going on, Katie and Greg are also dealing with the reality that they're now empty nesters. While they're excited about the prospect of having the house to themselves, they're also a little sad about the fact that their kids are growing up so fast. As they navigate this new phase in their lives, they'll have to rely on each other more than ever before.

Throughout the episode, we get to see the Otto family come together to celebrate Anna-Kat's graduation and to support each other through their various struggles. The show manages to balance the funny and the heartfelt perfectly, with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments as well as some truly touching scenes.

Overall, American Housewife season 5 episode 1 is a great start to the new season.
