Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz are back on the road for another exciting episode of American Pickers season 15. In episode 7, titled "Slim Pickings," the dynamic duo sets out on a mission to find rare and valuable items in unlikely places.
The episode kicks off with Mike and Frank visiting a small town in Illinois, where they stumble upon an abandoned property rumored to be home to a vintage motorcycle collection. With nothing but a crude map and a series of vague directions, the pickers set out to find the elusive collection.
As they explore the property, Mike and Frank soon realize that they may have bitten off more than they can chew. The motorcycle collection is nowhere to be found, and the property itself is overrun with tall grass, rusted vehicles, and piles of garbage.
Despite the chaos, the pickers are undeterred. They begin digging through the debris, finding everything from antique tools to vintage advertising signs and even an old wooden ship model. With each new discovery, the excitement builds, and the pickers are eager to uncover more treasures hidden on the property.
After a long day of digging, the pickers head to a local scrap yard in search of more unique finds. There, they meet a scrappy young picker named Tyler, who has been scouring the yard for valuable scrap metal.
Tyler leads the pickers to an old shed in the back of the yard, where they find a rusty old motorcycle buried under piles of junk. Though the bike has seen better days, Mike and Frank realize that it could be worth a small fortune to the right buyer.
As the sun sets over the junkyard, the pickers pack up their finds and head to their next destination. Along the way, they stop at a roadside flea market, where they come across a strange object that leaves them scratching their heads.
The object, which appears to be some sort of primitive farm tool, catches their eye, and they begin to speculate about its origins. Could it be a rare piece of agricultural history, or is it simply a mundane tool with no real value?
With their curiosity piqued, the pickers set out to learn more about the mysterious tool and its potential value. Along the way, they discover a wealth of information about the history of American agriculture and the tools and equipment that paved the way for modern farming practices.
As the episode draws to a close, the pickers reflect on their journey and the valuable lessons they have learned about the art of picking. Despite encountering a few roadblocks along the way, they have managed to unearth some truly unique and valuable finds, proving that even in the most unlikely places, there are treasures waiting to be discovered.
