Ep 26. Roll Like a Rock Star

In this episode of American Pickers, entitled "Roll Like a Rock Star," pickers Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz are on the hunt for rare and unusual items in the world of music. Their first stop is at a massive collection of vintage cars and motorcycles in Missouri, owned by a man named Rusty. While they're there, they spot a beautiful 1961 Chevrolet Corvette sitting in a garage, waiting to be restored. Rusty isn't willing to give up the car, but the guys manage to strike a deal for some vintage motorcycle parts instead.

Next, the pickers head to a warehouse in Nashville, where they're greeted by Steve, a longtime music memorabilia collector. Steve has an incredible selection of items, including guitars signed by legendary musicians like BB King and Neil Young, and a suit worn by Elvis Presley in one of his movies. Mike and Frank spend hours combing through Steve's collection, trying to find the perfect items to add to their own collection. They eventually settle on a vintage Les Paul guitar and an antique drum set that Steve purchased from the estate sale of a former member of the band, The Eagles.

Finally, the pickers travel to Louisville, KY where they're eager to check out a massive collection of classic gas pumps and advertising posters. The collection is owned by a man named Steve, who is also an avid guitar collector. Mike and Frank are excited to talk shop with Steve and see what kind of music memorabilia he might have to offer. Steve doesn't disappoint, showing them a rare Fender Telecaster from the 1950s and a vintage Concertone banjo that once belonged to bluegrass legend Earl Scruggs.

Throughout the episode, Mike and Frank search high and low for the perfect additions to their collection of music memorabilia. From guitars and drum sets to posters and clothing, they're determined to find items that really capture the spirit of rock and roll.
