Ep 5. Pick Like a Honey Badger

In season 19 episode 5 of American Pickers titled "Pick Like a Honey Badger," Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz hit the road once again on their never-ending quest to uncover hidden treasures. This time around, they're in a small town in Georgia looking for antiques and forgotten relics that they can buy, restore, and resale for a profit.

Their first stop is at a property owned by a man named Roger who is a self-proclaimed "honey badger." He's a collector of all things old and unique, and he's accumulated quite a bit of stuff over the years. The place is a maze of cluttered rooms and dusty hallways, but Mike and Frank are undaunted. They spend hours sifting through boxes and rummaging through piles of old toys, tools, and other random items.

During their search, they come across a vintage bumper car, a rare 1903 Indian motorcycle, and a stunning antique radio that Frank is particularly enamored with. They also find a one-of-a-kind metal sculpture of a praying mantis, which Mike thinks would look great in one of his personal collections.

Next, the pickers head to an old auto shop to see what they can find. They meet a man named Gary who has been collecting cars and car parts for over 50 years. His collection is so extensive that he actually has an entire field filled with rusted, dented, and broken-down vehicles.

Mike and Frank are in their element here, and they quickly go to work assessing each car and its parts. They find a rare bucket seat for a classic car and a beautifully restored 1950s gas pump that they plan to sell at their shop. They also stumble upon a vintage camper that they think could be a real moneymaker if they can get it fixed up and back on the road.

Throughout the episode, Mike and Frank also take some time to explore the small Georgia town they're in. They stop in at a local diner for some Southern cooking and chat with some of the locals about the area's history. They also visit a nearby museum dedicated to the town's Civil War heritage and are impressed by the wide range of artifacts on display.

As the day winds down, Mike and Frank head back to their van, exhausted but satisfied. They've found some great stuff that they know they can sell for a profit, and they've had another adventure on the road. For these two lifelong pickers, there's nothing better than the thrill of the hunt.
