Ep 19. Moonshine and Motors

In season 20, episode 19 of American Pickers titled "Moonshine and Motors," Mike and Frank are back on the road in search of hidden treasures and unique finds. This time, they're headed to Virginia, where they're hoping to score some rare and interesting items.

Their first stop is the garage of a man named David, who has a collection of vintage motorcycles that he's been working on for years. Mike and Frank are excited to see what he has, and they're not disappointed. David has some classic bikes that were once part of his father's collection, and he's been slowly restoring them to their former glory.

As they browse through the bikes and chat with David about his hobby, they learn that he's also a collector of vintage signs. David has a few of them hanging up in his garage, but he tells Mike and Frank that his best ones are stored away in a shed on his property. The guys are intrigued and ask if they can take a look.

As they're about to leave, David mentions that he has a few jars of moonshine that he makes himself. Mike and Frank are intrigued and ask to try it. After some initial hesitation, David agrees and pours them each a glass. They're pleasantly surprised by the taste and even consider buying a jar to take with them on the road.

Their next stop is a sprawling farm owned by a man named Bill. Bill has a collection of antique cars that he's been restoring for years, and he's excited to show them off to Mike and Frank. They're impressed by the selection, including a fully restored Model T and a classic pickup truck.

But it's not just cars that Bill collects. He's also an avid hunter and has a few taxidermy specimens hanging on the walls of his barn. Mike and Frank are a bit taken aback by this, but they try not to let it affect their search for finds.

As they're browsing through some old farm equipment, Mike spots something interesting in the corner of his eye. It's a vintage arcade game, just the kind of thing that Mike loves to collect. He asks Bill if it's for sale, and Bill agrees to part with it for the right price.

Their final stop of the day is at an old gas station that's been converted into an antique store. The owner, named Shirley, has a wide selection of vintage items for sale, including some rare toys and games. Mike and Frank are amazed by the variety and take their time wandering through the aisles.

As they're about to leave, Shirley tells them that she has one more item to show them. She takes them into a back room and shows them a rare jukebox that she recently acquired. It's in great condition, and Mike and Frank are both impressed. They ask her how much she wants for it, and after some negotiating, they agree on a price.

The episode ends with Mike and Frank packing up their finds and hitting the road. They reflect on the day's adventure and the unique items they were able to uncover. It was another successful day of picking, and they can't wait to see what treasures await them on their next trip.
