Annie's Point is a heartwarming made-for-television movie from Hallmark that premiered on January 22, 2005. It stars Betty White, Richard Thomas, and Amy Davidson in leading roles, alongside other talented actors. The story revolves around a sprightly and independent elderly lady, Annie Eason (Betty White), who has decided to take a road trip in her old RV from her home in Iowa to her hometown in California. However, there is one problem- her family is alarmed and perplexed by her sudden decision to drive such a long distance alone at her age. They are convinced it is a bad idea and try to talk her out of it.

Annie is determined to make the journey, and so she comes up with a solution: she will tell her family that she is merely leaving Iowa to visit her son's gravesite in Arizona, and then from there she will take off on her adventure. She even deceives her best friend, Earl (Richard Thomas), who tries to stop her from leaving alone.

Along the way, Annie meets several people who help her in their own way. She encounters a kindhearted waitress, Tanya (Amy Davidson), who sees that Annie is struggling to drive the RV and offers to take her on as a traveling companion. As they drive together, Annie and Tanya form a bond of friendship and learn about each other's past.

In Annie's Point, we get to see the scenic beauty of the United States through Annie's travels. Her journey is filled with many ups and downs, both of which are emotional and engaging. It is a character-driven story that focuses on the universal themes of love, loss, and family.

Betty White delivers a remarkable performance as Annie Eason. She embodies the character and brings out her spunkiness, humor, and strength. Her portrayal of Annie is so endearing that you can't help but root for her to succeed in her mission.
