The Staycation Episode is the second episode of the third season of Are We There Yet? The series follows the lives of Nick and Suzanne, a newlywed couple, and their blended family. In this episode, Nick and Suzanne decide to take a staycation in order to spend more quality time with their children and each other.
The episode begins with Nick and Suzanne discussing their plans for the staycation. They decide to stay at a local resort that has various activities for both adults and children. They also plan to have a family game night, a date night, and a picnic in the park.
As they arrive at the resort, the family is excited to explore the various amenities, including a swimming pool, a spa, and a miniature golf course. They split up so each family member can pursue their own interests. Nick and Suzanne head to the spa while the children head to the pool.

The children are determined to beat their parents in various board games, but Nick and Suzanne prove to be tough opponents. Despite some playful trash-talking, the family enjoys bonding over the games.
The next day, Nick and Suzanne have their long-awaited date night. They visit a fancy restaurant and enjoy a romantic dinner. However, their plans are interrupted when they receive a call from their children asking for help. Their son, Kevin, has lost his phone and they can't find it anywhere. Nick and Suzanne rush back to the resort to help search for the missing phone.
As they search for the phone, they realize that spending time with their children is more important than their date night. They eventually find the phone and the family celebrates by having a picnic in the park. They reminisce about their favorite moments from the staycation and express their gratitude for each other and their family.
The episode ends with the family driving back home, happy and fulfilled after their staycation. The Staycation Episode teaches viewers about the importance of quality time with family and highlights the joys and challenges of parenting.
