In Episode 103 of Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader season 1, contestants are once again put to the test to see if their elementary school education is up to par with that of a 5th grader. The episode kicks off with host Jeff Foxworthy welcoming two new contestants to the stage: a college student named Chelsea and a firefighter named Jon.

The game begins with Jon taking the first question, which asks him to name the ocean that lies to the west of California. While Jon is confident in his answer, Chelsea begins to panic as she doesn't remember learning this in school. Ultimately, Jon answers correctly with the Pacific Ocean, earning $1,000 for both himself and Chelsea.

As the game continues, the questions increase in difficulty, testing the contestants on a variety of topics such as history, geography, science, and math. In one question, the contestants are asked to solve a multiplication problem involving decimals, proving to be a challenge for both of them. Another question asks them to name the second planet from the sun, prompting Jon to ask for help from 5th grader Cooper, who confirms that the answer is Venus.

Just when it seems like the contestants are struggling to keep up with the 5th-grade knowledge level, they are presented with a bonus challenge. In this challenge, they are shown a map of the United States and must correctly label the state capitals. While this may sound easy, the catch is that they must do so while wearing blindfolds. With the help of the 5th graders, both Chelsea and Jon manage to correctly label several state capitals, earning them both extra cash for their winnings.

Throughout the episode, there are moments of tension as contestants try to recall information from their elementary school days. In one question, Jon is asked to name the five Great Lakes, but struggles to remember them all, ultimately missing one and losing $1,000. Similarly, Chelsea is asked to name the longest river in South America, but unfortunately cannot remember if it is the Amazon or the Nile.

Despite some bumps in the road, both contestants manage to make it to the final question, which could potentially earn them $250,000. In this question, they are asked to name the four presidents who appear on Mount Rushmore. With the help of the 5th graders, both Chelsea and Jon answer correctly, securing an impressive quarter of a million dollars in winnings.

Overall, Episode 103 of Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader season 1 is a thrilling ride as contestants face off against their own memories of elementary school education. With a mix of challenging questions, bonuses, and intense moments, this episode is sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats as they root for their favorite contestant to come out on top.
