  • June 8, 2015

In this episode of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, the game continues with two more contestants attempting to prove their intelligence against a panel of fifth-grade students. The first contestant, Robin, returns for part two of her game. She struggled in the previous episode and hopes to redeem herself this time around. The second contestant, Alex, is a high school senior who believes he is smarter than fifth-graders.

As always, host John Cena is joined by a group of sharp-witted fifth-grade students who act as his lifelines. Each contestant is given ten questions that cover a variety of subjects, ranging from history to science to current events.

In the first half of the show, Robin proves to be more confident than she was in the previous episode. She successfully answers questions about US Presidents and geography. She also gets a bonus question about popular children's books correct. However, things take a turn when Robin gets stumped on a question about measurements and is forced to use a lifeline.

Alex, on the other hand, breezes through the first half of his game. He answers questions about world leaders and math with ease. However, he gets tripped up on a question about literary genres and has to ask the fifth-graders for help. The tension mounts as Alex and Robin continue to answer questions and accumulate money for their respective charity organizations.

In the second half of the show, the pressure is on as the questions become increasingly difficult. Robin has a difficult time with a question about fossils and must use a lifeline. She also struggles with a question about US Statehood and must again rely on the fifth-graders for assistance. Alex finds himself in a similar predicament when he is asked about cell division and must ask for help.

As time runs out, both contestants remain in the game, determined to answer one final question that could earn them a large sum of money for their chosen charity. The tension mounts as John Cena asks the final question, and both contestants frantically scribble down their answers.

In the end, only one contestant emerges victorious and proves that they are indeed smarter than a fifth-grader. But regardless of the outcome, the real winners are the charities that both Robin and Alex were playing for. It's an exciting and educational show that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
