Are You There, Chelsea? is an American sitcom television series that revolves around the life of Chelsea Newman, a young woman who is struggling to find her way in life. The show is based on a book written by comedian Chelsea Handler and stars Laura Prepon as Chelsea Newman. The show has a comedic tone and is known for its witty dialogue and offbeat humor.

Season 1 Episode 4, titled Strays, follows Chelsea as she takes in a stray dog and tries to find it a new home. While out on a walk, Chelsea comes across a stray dog and brings it home, much to the chagrin of her roommate Rick. Rick is not a fan of dogs and is annoyed that Chelsea has brought yet another stray home. Chelsea names the dog Walker, after the street where she found him.

Chelsea sets out to find a new home for Walker, but quickly realizes that it won't be as easy as she thought. She tries to give him to her friend Dee Dee, but Dee Dee is hesitant because she just got a new puppy and doesn't want to take on another dog. Chelsea also tries to give him to her ex-boyfriend, but he is allergic to dogs.

In the meantime, Chelsea has to keep Walker hidden from Rick, who is getting increasingly frustrated with the dog's presence in the apartment. Rick tries to convince Chelsea to take the dog to the pound, but Chelsea refuses and insists that she will find a good home for him.

Throughout the episode, Chelsea reflects on her own experiences with being a stray and feeling lost. She sees parts of herself in Walker, and is determined to give him a better life. She also learns the importance of taking responsibility for her actions, as she realizes that taking on a pet is a huge responsibility that cannot be taken lightly.

The episode ends with Chelsea finally finding a new home for Walker, with a family who is in need of a companion for their son. Chelsea is sad to say goodbye to Walker, but knows that he will be happy in his new home. She also comes to a new realization about herself and her own life, and decides to take steps to make changes that will help her find her own path.

Overall, Strays is a heartwarming and funny episode that showcases the show's unique brand of humor. It also has a poignant message about the importance of taking responsibility for our actions and finding our own way in life.
