Meanwhile, Amanda is struggling to come to terms with the supernatural world she has been thrust into. She is skeptical of Ash's powers and tries to arrest him, but ends up getting possessed by Eligos herself. The demon uses her body to try and kill Ash, but he manages to free her from his grasp using the necronomicon.

The episode ends with Ash and his gang narrowly escaping the mental institution, but not before Eligos has revealed his true plan. He tells them that he is working for a more powerful demon named Baal, who has some dark plans for Ash.

"Fire in the Hole" is a thrilling and suspenseful episode that raises the stakes for our heroes. The introduction of Eligos and his mind-bending powers adds a new layer of horror to the show, and the possession of Kelly and Amanda creates some interesting character arcs. As always, Bruce Campbell's performance as Ash is entertaining and hilarious, making this episode a must-watch for fans of the series.
