In the 19th episode of the 29th season of Beachfront Bargain Hunt, titled "Rugged Oregon Coast," we are taken to the beautiful and lucrative coastline of Oregon in the Pacific Northwest. It is a dream destination for many who seek stunning ocean views, secluded beaches, and fresh, salty air. The rugged coastline of Oregon offers the perfect setting for adventure lovers who enjoy activities such as kayaking, hiking, and exploring local wildlife.
This episode of Beachfront Bargain Hunt follows a young couple who have been searching for a new home that offers them all the beauty and adventure they desire. The couple is passionate about outdoor activities and being close to nature. There are a lot of options available to them, but they need to find the perfect location that fits their needs, budget, and lifestyle. They have enlisted the help of a local real estate agent who is knowledgeable about the area and properties available.
The couple's real estate agent takes them on a tour of different locations along the rugged Oregon coast. They visit several properties in different areas and price ranges, each with its own unique charm and features. The couple is presented with both oceanfront homes and homes within a mile or two of the ocean. Every home they view offers something new from rustic cottages, modern beach houses, and homes with stunning views of the ocean. The couple has to carefully consider their options both in terms of the location and the property itself. They must also factor in their budget.
The couple's first trip is to Tillamook, which is famous for its iconic cheese factory. Tillamook is a small town known for its laid-back vibe. The couple is shown two properties, one on the oceanfront, and another two miles inland. The property on the oceanfront, while stunning with an incredible view, was unfortunately out of their budget. The second property, although inland, offered stunning views and was within their budget. The home had lovely interiors and was modern, but it didn't inspire the couple enough.
Next, the couple visited the charming town of Cannon Beach, which is known for its unique art galleries, upscale boutiques, and excellent restaurants. The town boasts of charming cottages, vacation rentals, and expensive oceanfront properties. The first property they were shown offered a stunning ocean view and was just a block away from the beach. But it was very small, and there was no yard space for their dog. The second property was much larger, had a nice garden with plenty of space, and was close to the beach. Although it was a little above their budget, the couple felt it was worth it considering its size, location, and overall quality.
In their pursuit of finding their ideal home, the couple moves further up north to Astoria, known for its beautiful Victorian homes, historic bridges, and popular seafood restaurants. The real estate agent shows them a cottage in Astoria. While the house has its charm, it didn't meet the couple's requirements for a home that is closer to nature.
The last property the couple sees is in nearby Warrenton, located right on the oceanfront, south of the Columbia River. It offers tremendous value for money and a great location if they are looking for an adventure. It is a charming two-bedroom cottage with an excellent view of the ocean. The home has lovely finishes and a great patio for outdoor dining and lounging. It is also very close to several beach access points, wildlife reservations, and fishing spots, among other attractions.
As the couple ponders over the properties they have viewed and discusses various factors such as location, price, the quality of the home, and proximity to the outdoors, with their agent, they must make a choice. They must select the property that feels like the perfect fit for them. Have they found their dream home along the rugged Oregon coast?
