It is then revealed that the drugs were medicine that Kanzaki's father had requested to treat his patients, but he had been unable to obtain it through legal channels.

The Misfits are appalled by Kanzaki's actions and demand an explanation. It is then revealed that Kanzaki's father had been disowned by the medical community for his unorthodox methods, and Kanzaki had to resort to illegal means to obtain the medicine. The Misfits are torn between their moral obligation and their desire for money, but in the end, they choose to do the right thing and help Kanzaki's father. They use the money they earned from the errand to purchase the medicine legally, and Kanzaki's father is able to continue treating his patients.
