Belgravia is a period drama television series that aired on ITV in 2020. It is based on a novel by Julian Fellowes, the creator of Downton Abbey, and is set in 19th century London's high society neighborhood of Belgravia. The show features an ensemble cast of talented actors including Philip Glenister, Tamsin Greig, Harriet Walter, Alice Eve, Tara Fitzgerald, Ella Purnell, Richard Goulding, James Fleet, Adam James, Paul Ritter, Saskia Reeves, Tom Wilkinson, Emily Reid, Bronagh Gallagher, Jeremy Neumark Jones, Diana Hardcastle, Serena Evans, Jack Bardoe, Nicholas Rowe, James Chalmers, Gunnar DeYoung, Diana Kent, Robert Portal, Naomi Frederick, Penny Layden, and Jack Shalloo.

The story takes place in the 1840s and follows the lives of two families, the Trenchards and the Brockenhursts. The Trenchards are a nouveau riche family who have recently made their fortune in trade, while the Brockenhursts are members of the established aristocracy. The two families are brought together at a ball hosted by the Duchess of Richmond on the eve of the Battle of Waterloo. The young heir to the Brockenhurst estate, Edmund, falls in love with Sophia Trenchard, but their romance is cut short when Edmund is killed in battle.

Years later, the now widowed Sophia is reunited with the Brockenhurst family when her son, Charles Pope, starts training as a lawyer and meets the Brockenhursts. However, their presence brings to light a long-held secret that threatens to upend the lives of both families. This sets in motion a chain of events that tests the strength of their relationships and reveals the true nature of high society.

The cast of Belgravia is impressive and delivers excellent performances. Philip Glenister plays James Trenchard, the head of the Trenchard family, who is both pragmatic and ambitious. Tamsin Greig plays Anne Trenchard, James's wife, who is more interested in maintaining their newfound social status than in the scandalous secrets of the past.

Harriet Walter plays the matriarch of the Brockenhurst family, Lady Brockenhurst, who is fiercely protective of her family's reputation. Alice Eve plays her daughter, Susan, who is trapped in a loveless marriage and yearns for adventure. Tara Fitzgerald plays her other daughter, Caroline, who is torn between her loyalty to her family and her desire to be with the man she loves.

Ella Purnell plays Sophia Trenchard, the widow of Edmund Brockenhurst, who is haunted by the memory of her lost love. Richard Goulding plays John Bellasis, a member of high society who is desperate to keep a damaging secret hidden. James Fleet plays the Duke of Bedford, a well-meaning but bumbling member of the aristocracy.

Overall, Belgravia is a well-crafted period drama that explores the complex web of relationships within high society. The show features stunning sets and costumes that transport viewers back in time to 19th century London. The story is full of intrigue, romance, and scandal, and the talented cast delivers standout performances that bring the characters to life. If you enjoy period dramas or stories about the secrets and scandals of high society, Belgravia is definitely worth watching.
