Ep 7. Hard Knocks

Dr. Megan Hunt is back in the second season of the crime drama "Body of Proof" and this time, she is going to uncover some of the toughest cases in Philadelphia. In episode 7, titled "Hard Knocks," Dr. Hunt and her team are called to investigate the death of a high school football player.

Dr. Hunt and her team interview Max's family, friends, and coaches, leading them to believe that it could be an overdose of some kind. When they visit the school, they find that Max was popular and well-liked, and had no known enemies.

As the investigation continues, Dr. Hunt and detective Bud Morris (played by John Carroll Lynch) discover that one of Max's teammates, Tyler, was supplying him with drugs. They learn that Tyler's own father, a former football player himself, had been pushing Tyler into taking steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs.

With this new information, Dr. Hunt begins to see the larger picture of the high school football culture, and how it puts immense pressure on young athletes. The episode explores themes of parenting, peer pressure, and the lengths that some people will go to achieve their goals.

As always, Dr. Hunt's sharp wit and intelligence shine through, as she expertly pieces together the disparate elements of the case. Her insights and deductions, combined with the efforts of the rest of the team, ultimately lead to a shocking and unexpected conclusion.

In addition to the main plot thread, the episode also includes several subplots, including one involving Dr. Hunt's difficult relationship with her teenage daughter. The show does a great job of interspersing these personal elements with the main plot, creating a well-rounded and engaging viewing experience.
