Boys Before Flowers is a South Korean television drama series that aired on KBS2 in 2009. It is based on a Japanese manga series called Hana Yori Dango. The show follows the story of a bright and optimistic girl named Geum Jan-di who is offered admission to a prestigious high school. However, the school caters only to the richest and most powerful families in South Korea, and Jan-di quickly finds herself at odds with her wealthy classmates, especially the members of the school's most exclusive and popular group, the F4.

Despite being hailed as a hero for saving Gu Jun-pyo's life, Jan-di doesn't want anything to do with him or his group of friends. She is determined to continue her studies and focus on her own future. However, things take a turn when Jan-di is offered a scholarship to attend Shin Hwa High School, the same school as Gu Jun-pyo and the other F4 members. Although hesitant at first, Jan-di accepts the scholarship and begins her studies at the school.

As soon as she arrives, Jan-di realizes that the F4 are not just popular students – they are also notorious bullies who use their wealth and power to intimidate and control their classmates. However, Jan-di refuses to be intimidated by them and makes it clear that she won't back down or kowtow to their demands. This earns her the respect of many of her fellow students, but also puts her at odds with the F4.

Over the course of the episode, we also meet some of the other key characters in the show. There is So Yi-jung (played by Kim Bum), a talented potter and member of the F4 who is known for his charm and good looks. There is also Song Woo-bin (played by Kim Joon), a talented musician who is equally skilled at manipulating people to get what he wants. Finally, there is Yoon Ji-hoo (played by Kim Hyun-joong), a gifted musician and the only member of the F4 who seems to have a conscience. Ji-hoo takes a liking to Jan-di and tries to help her out whenever he can.

Despite the challenges that she faces at the school, Jan-di remains determined to succeed and carve out a future for herself on her own terms. However, as she navigates the complex social hierarchy of Shin Hwa High School, she finds herself drawn into the world of the F4 and their intrigues. She also finds herself falling for Gu Jun-pyo, the very person she once despised.

Boys Before Flowers is a compelling and engaging drama that offers a unique look into the high-pressure world of South Korea's elite.
