Ep 15. Operation: Broken Feather

Detective Jake Peralta and his team at the 99th precinct of the NYPD are back. In season 1 episode 15, titled "Operation: Broken Feather", the team is called in to investigate an art theft from a multi-million dollar apartment.

The episode kicks off with the team discussing what their weekend plans are. Capt. Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher) tells them that he and his partner, Kevin, are going to their beach house for the weekend. Meanwhile, the rest of the team is planning to go to a food festival.

They begin to interview the residents, and one of them claims to have seen a man fitting the description of the thief. This leads them to a lead named Kyle (guest star Adam Pally), who works in the building and has a criminal record.

As they dig deeper into Kyle's past, they discover that he's working with an art thief named Jimmy "The Butcher" Figgis (guest star Dennis Haysbert). Figgis and his team have been stealing artwork around the city, and they're planning to steal one more piece that night.

With the help of Kyle, Jake and Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) go undercover at an art gallery where Figgis is making his next hit. They disguise themselves as rich art collectors and manage to get close to Figgis. But things go wrong when Figgis realizes that they're cops and tries to escape.

The episode features some hilarious scenes, including the team trying to come up with the perfect nickname for their operation. But it also has its share of serious moments, like when Terry (Terry Crews) reveals that he's dealing with a personal issue that's affecting his work.

Overall, "Operation: Broken Feather" is a solid episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. It's a perfect blend of humor and crime-solving, and it features some great guest stars. The episode also sets up a storyline that will continue throughout the rest of the season.
