Ep 13. Serve & Protect

When Captain Holt is rejoined by his old partner on the force, Deputy Chief Madeline Wuntch, it becomes clear that her position and power has not mellowed her one bit. She immediately sets about making life difficult for the Nine-Nine, demoting Terry and assigning Gina to a previously unheard of role as a psychotherapist to the precinct's cops. Jake and Boyle are selected to be part of a specialized bike unit, but find their job selecting them to varying degrees of success. Meanwhile, Holt faces off against Wuntch in a battle of brain, cunning, and wit, one he is determined not to lose. When an opportunity presents itself for the Nine-Nine to redeem themselves and show Wuntch and her team what they're made of, Jake steps up to the plate and delivers. But can they save the day in time to beat Wuntch at her own game, and clinch a victory for all involved?
